Before the trichoscope examination, please wash your hair 24 hours before the examination, which allow me to accurately assess the actual daily functioning of the epidermis, sebaceous and sweat glands.

The first visit involves conducting a detailed interview with the client. A quick reaction is very important, because the longer we ignore scalp and hair diseases, the more difficult it is to eliminate the existing dysfunctions. You should be prepared to answer questions about chronic diseases, medications you take, lifestyle, diet, current care, etc.

                                                                                Hair and scalp examination.

The examination during the first visit is performed using a professional scalp analyzer and is aimed at making the correct diagnosis. Thanks to the use of 3 degrees of polarization and image magnification from 50x to 250x, we can assess the structure of the hair and the surface of the scalp. The examination examines the openings of hair follicles, the appearance of the hair shaft, the nature of blood vessels and the condition of the epidermis surface. The features of the assessed structures allow for the creation of a pattern typical for a given disease entity. The test is painless and non-invasive.

Dry and immersion trichoscopy - professional examination of the scalp with appropriate diagnostic equipment which, depending on the image magnification and light polarization used, allows us to assess, among others:

                                                                                 50x magnification

- number of empty hair follicles

- hair follicle efficiency

- the presence of vellus hair - hair that regresses in development and undergoes dystrophy

- anisotrichosis – does it occur, and if so, to what extent

- microtubules, cuff-shaped, tubular exfoliation (which may indicate the beginnings of scarring alopecia)

- residual hair (also called exclamation point hair) indicating alopecia areata

                                                                                250 x magnification

- epidermal structure, thickness, thinning

- work of sebaceous and sweat glands

- perifollicular syndromes, miniaturization of hair follicles

- the superficial papillary plexus and the deep papillary plexus, called the  infrapapillary plexus

- the presence of white dots, yellow dots, black dots, gray-brown perifollicular discoloration - the presence of any of them has a different diagnostic value and indicates specific problems
